Characters & numbers to be sized according to the viewing distance.  Min. character

CBC 1117B.5.4

height for signs suspended above finish floor to be 3”.  Lower case letters are permitted
CBC 1117B.5.4 ADAAG A4.30.3

Characters on signs required to be accessible to be sized according to table at:  CBC 1117B.5.4
