Door Closers

Whoa – just discovered that the 2010 ADA is much more strict in it’s requirement for closer time on doors.
Door & gate closers to be adjusted to close from an open position of 90 degrees in not less than 5 seconds to a point 12” from latch.

    So given the criteria above 5 seconds is the minimum?

      The requirement is that is should take 5 seconds to go from 90 degrees to within 12 degrees of the latch.
